Singer Lorde Claims She Swam In 'Unsafe' Potomac River While In DC

Lorde, the popular singer from New Zealand, told fans she spent time swimming in the Potomac River, which has been deemed unsafe for swimmers, while in D.C. for a concert, Fox 5 reported.

Though there is no proof of the pop star actually swimming, fans laughed and clapped as she described swimming in the nearby waters, the website said.

The Potomac River is currently deemed unsafe for human swimmers, as the water has harmful bacterial levels, Fox 5 said.
